Swindon Wildcats welcomed league leader’s the Manchester Phoenix to the Link Centre, for the first of the weekends’ games.

Just six minutes into the night’s action and it was the away sides’ Tony Hand who would break the scoring. Michal Psurny then made it two shortly after, when forward Liam Chong’s pass toward the crease found the import and was tapped in for a 2-0 lead.

The second period saw both sides tighten up defensively however when Robert Schnabel’s slapshot caught the right side of the post to find the net and Swindon found themselves three goals down. The Wildcats would come close throughout the middle period and despite hitting the post on several occasions, netminder Stephen Fone would deny the home side a chance to score their first of the evening.

A final 4-0 win for the Manchester Phoenix saw the unfortunate end to the Swindon Wildcats’ winning streak and leaves the away side undeafeted; remaining top of the EPL table.
