Season ticket update.

Speedway v BirminghamStartline girlsSWINDON chief Gary Patchett says the club have experienced technical difficulties with the production of credit card style season tickets.

But fans of the reigning Elite League champions, sponsored by Excalibur Communications, are assured they will receive their passes in good time for the start of the season.

Said Patchett: “Naturally we’ve had a few enquiries from season ticket holders but the club can assure them their tickets will be sent soon.

“We experienced a technical problem with the production but this has been resolved and they will be sent in good time for the first meeting.”

Excalibur Communications Robins will defend the Elite League title they won last October after waiting since 1967.

Three more for seasons opener

THREE Grand Prix stars have been added to Swindon Speedway’s showpiece individual meeting to launch the 2013 season next month.

Wolverhampton duo Freddie Lindgren and Tai Woffinden are joined by King’s Lynn’s classy Dane Niels-Kristian Iversen in the Bob Kilby Memorial meeting on Thursday, March 14 (7.30).

They join the likes of triple world champion Nicki Pedersen, reigning Kilby champion Bjarne Pedersen and a host of Excalibur Communications Robins riders – including members of last year’s Elite League title winning side.

Club co-owner Gary Patchett said: “The three riders we have announced today are three of the very best British Speedway has to offer.

“They are consistently high scorers in the Elite League and are all in this year’s Grand Prix. I’m sure they will all be in contention to win the meeting which is a fitting tribute to one of Swindon’s all-time greats.”
