Scrappers has moved into new, larger premises at the rear of the 24HR Gym on Hillmead behind Skurry’s car dealership.

The gym secured £21,000 funding in April 2013 through the Peoples Health Trust – Active Communities Programme to work with young people aged 13 – 25 years of age in the Toothill and Westlea areas of Swindon.

Led by former ABA Boxing champion ‘Paul Rogers’ and twice British kickboxing champion ‘Andy Brown’ the new facility provides space for individuals or groups to participate in Boxing, Kickboxing, Aikido and Mixed Martial Arts.

People can drop in and train or take part in structured classes at low cost, only £3 per session, and learn from qualified trainers.

Scrappers Gym is a project set up and managed by the local charity ‘Swindon Children’s Scrapstore’
