The Mayor of Swindon took to the mallet – not the Timmy type but the Croquet type – to open the new croquet Lawns in Moredon

The Lawns, as reported in an earlier report, have received funding from several sources and Cllr Mick Bray and the president of the Croquet Association formally hit the first balls on the new facility.

See the Swindon Croquet Club site for the open days where you can get a taste for the game, which appears to be very popular with Oxford University students.
