Sport short: International cricket on our doorstep – well a charity match England v Australia.

You my need a passport as this is across the county border in Cirencester Park Gloucestershire.

Hop Skip and Jump Foundation and the Shane Warne Foundation are holding a charity cricket match, and what a match it promises to be.©calyx_Pictures_cricket_8120

Hosted by Shane Warne & Elizabeth Hurley at Cirencester Cricket Club on Sunday June 9th there is a fundraising 20/20 cricket match to raise money for sick and under privileged kids.

The England XI will include: Andrew Strauss, Michael Vaughan, Mark Nicholas, Paul Nixon, Jeremy Snape, Shaun Udal, Darren Gough and Ian Ward.

Australia XI: Shane Warne, Merv Hughes, Neil Harvey, Damien Martin, Michael Di Venuto, Michael Klinger, Simon O’Donnell, Tom Moody and Shaun Tait

With finger poised as umpires will be: Ian Botham and David Gower.

And I am sure there will be a queue for this!

There will also be the opportunity for one person to face an over from Shane Warne in the interval.

The players should be available for autographs during the day.

The stadium seating is sold out, but tickets on the gate at £20 adult/5 pounds Under 14.

Lots for kids to do; bouncy castles, Formula 1 Simulators, Cage Cricke etc.

With the sun forcast to shine there are typically English Pimms, champagne & beer tents and plenty of food stands. So while the men take in the action the ladies can visit the shopping village.

Gates open 12.00pm and match starts 2.30pm and there is Free parking.

Don’t forget the passport.
