Swindon Robins- tonight’s match preview.

First bend action against Kings Lynn

SWINDON continue their charge towards the Elite League play-offs with a re-arranged home meeting against Eastbourne on Thursday (7.30).

Swindon boss Alun Rossiter

Alun Rossiter’s side, fresh from two impressive away displays at Coventry and King’s Lynn, are locked in a battle for top spot with current leaders Poole.

Unavailble: Nick Morris

And Rossiter says he is confident of seeing off the Eastbourne challenge – but he’s taking nothing for granted.

He said: “This is a meeting I’m confident we can win – but once more, you have to treat everyone with the respect they deserve.

Lasse Bjerre

“I’m sure we can get three points, but you take nothing for granted in this game. James Wright comes in to guest because Lasse Bjerre and Nick Morris are unavailable, but there shouldn’t be too many more of these clashes and hopefully now the weather has changed we should be able to generally go with our regular riders.

“Eastbourne have a solid side but I’m feeling we should have too much strength for them on our own track.”

Wright rides for Premier League Somerset this season but is a former Swindon rider.

Swindon have a busy August ahead with some exciting meetings in prospect as fans return to back their title bid.

SWINDON: Hans Andersen, Jason Doyle, Simon Stead, Peter Kildemand, Troy Batchelor, James Wright, Dawid Lampart.

EASTBOURNE: Joonas Kylmakorpi, Lukas Dryml, Simon Gustafsson R/R, Cameron Woodward, Lewis Bridger, Henning Bager, Timo Lahti.
